We use a technique called RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation): the chat finds the relevant parts of your site, reads them, and formulates the answer.
Swedish-speaking
Default is Swedish. English fallback if the customer writes in English. No "I'm sorry I only speak English" awkwardness.

Conversations are stored in your database, on your server. Nothing is sent to Anthropic or OpenAI for training.

When it's NOT the right tool
- Hyper-specific industries with critical regulation (medicine, law). Then you want a specialist assistant, not a RAG on your website.
- Sites with 1 000+ product pages and need for second-by-second updates. Then a different architecture than the default package is needed.
- You just want a FAQ bot with 12 questions. A static help widget is simpler — we'll build it for you if you prefer.
Questions about the AI chat
What's the difference from a regular chatbot?

Which AI is used under the hood?
Default is Anthropic Claude (the same one that powers us at thern.io). We can wire OpenAI or a local model like Llama if you prefer. You own the code — no vendor lock-in. Switching is a configuration change, not a re-write.
What happens when I update the site content?
Content sync runs automatically once a day — typically at 03:00. When you publish a new page, the chat knows about it by next morning at the latest. If you need a faster refresh, there's a "sync now" button in the admin.
Where are visitor questions and chat answers stored?
In your own database on your own server. Nothing is sent to Anthropic or OpenAI for training — only the individual question + context is sent in real time and discarded after. We log for debugging but you own the data and can delete it at any time. GDPR configuration is included: pop-up cookie consent for chat logging, automatic deletion after 90 days, export function for rights requests.
What if the chat doesn't know the answer?
It says so — and points to the contact form or phone number. The chat is instructed not to invent facts. We measure the share of "don't know" answers in the monthly report, and if patterns emerge (e.g. "everyone asks about delivery but there's nothing on the site") we suggest content updates.
Can we customise the tone and personality?
Yes. We write a short system prompt together to match your company's voice — concise, warm, professional, or any other tone. Easy to change over time via admin. Want the chat to always sign with an account name or emoji? No problem.
What if AI credit costs spiral?
The default package includes credits for up to 500 conversations per month. That's enough for 95% of small-business sites. If you outgrow it, we offer a "Volume" package at 499 SEK/month for up to 2 000 conversations. We flag in advance if you're approaching the ceiling — no surprise invoices.
